Farewell to ICCG

Over the past several years, the Inland Cleft & Craniofacial Group, formerly Light A Lamp's Cleft & Craniofacial Support program, has partnered with Providence to provide specialty gift baskets and support for children born with cleft lip/cleft palate.  Since we began, we've seen the support for these children and their families grow.

Today, Spokane has the Spokane Cleft Team, a team of selfless human beings that truly care about those that struggle with the challenges that come with cleft lip and palate.  This team includes Spokane's nurse coordinator, Marsue Chagnon, who has been recognized by Providence for living her values, and constantly goes above and beyond for her patients.

With the support currently available in Spokane, we have made the decision to dissolve the Inland Cleft & Craniofacial Group nonprofit organization.  We know individuals and families of children with cleft lip and palate are in wonderful hands with the Spokane Cleft Team, and we encourage you to connect with them Spokane Cleft Team on their Facebook page for support:

About the Inland Cleft and Craniofacial Group

Formerly known as Light A Lamp's Cleft and Craniofacial Support (serving since 2019), the Inland Cleft and Craniofacial Group (ICCG) is a nonprofit organization, founded in July 2024.  ICCG provides individual and family support for those born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate conditions, in partnership with the Spokane Cleft Team.

Supporting Spokane’s Maxillofacial Program

ICCG works closely with the Providence Maxillofacial Program associated with Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.

Serving Families

ICCG serves families of children born with craniofacial conditions, i.e. cleft lip and/or cleft palate, in the following ways:

  • Provide “Welcome New Baby” custom gift baskets, as well as post-surgery gift baskets
  • Make sure families in need of specialty feeding kits for babies and children have them
  • Host Family Connection Meetings and events - families receive a T-shirt at their first Family Connection Meeting
  • Provide gift packs for children and teens when visiting the Review Board to see doctors
  • We are planning for additional forms of support in 2025!

Family Connection Events

We have a Family Picnic in July, during Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness month.

Throughout the year, we have support meetings, which are a great time for families to connect with each other.  We coordinate with the Maxillofacial Group and have medical professionals speak when possible.

You can also connect with us on our Facebook group.
